Have a real dark egg anyone have suggestions?

So the lavenders are overdue now and the Sussex are due in a couple of days, right?? If that's correct, it looks to me like those lavenders are gone... are you still seeing any movement? Have you tried floating them? The Sussex looks fine with a couple more days to go. Don't know anything about geese, but they look fine with a week to go, I believe. And 10 more days on the Anconas, if my calculations are right, they look good too.

I agree 100%. Lavender 1 looks done, lavender 2 looks clear. Sussex looks promising.

Well now how does this work? If 8 lavender eggs were shipped but at lock down I had 6 and 4 of 6 hatched what does that make my %? And if 8 Spangled Sussex eggs were shipped to me and at lock down there is 1 clear And 1 good what does that mean? Besides the fact that I knew her over packing was suspicious. Lol

If you go by lockdown/hatch the rate would be 67% If you go by set/hatch it's obviously 50% (The norm for shipped eggs.) And now I'm confused....if 8 sussex were shipped and 1 was clear and 1 was good....where are the other 6?

1 was cracked at unpacking, 1 cracked in the bator turner, 1 was the really dark egg that smelled. Remember? Peewww. And 3 of them were very clear at the stage of lock down for the lavenders.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... ok...lol I had one I found cracked in my turner and still do not know how it happened.

I can candle every day right? I will candle them all again later and pencil off the air cells and try to take better pics. It's hard to take pics and hold the egg and the light. LOL I really gotta make that salt container light. That was too cool.

In other farm news. I took my puppies to get their dew claws removed and their tails docked.
The chickens pulled the screen away from the door and I found them walking around with that rooster.
And I honestly didn't know roosters could fly so high. He's now perched in the tree above the driveway. Hope he knows how to get down. lol

Yes lavenders over due. Sussex are due on 4-15. (Wow I am going to be busy). I couldn't tell if there was movement. How do I do the float test?

Warm water, (supposed to be about 100 F) place the egg in it. If it floats AND wiggles you know that it's still viable.

He's a nice looking Roo. Looks pretty healthy too.
