Keep in mind if you do want to breed Lavender Cochins it is advised to cross them with Black Cochins in order to improve their feather quality. Also if showing, Lavenders would only be able to compete in the AOV (All Other Varieties) Class and can not progress further from there. You might have more fun with a BBS (Blue, Black, and Splash) flock as you can get all three colors when breeding.

I should mention that both Blue and Black Cochins can advance in their class while Splash would only be show-able in the AOV class as well.

If you are looking for standard sized cochins, Meyer Hatchery sells Partridge Cochin, Blue Splash Cochin, Blue Cochin and White Cochins all in the standard size. We have some bantam cochins also,but I noticed you had mentioned that the standard sized as being harder to find and therefore I thought I'd mention those breeds for you
