I had 6 Ameraucana chickens, and one night my roommate didn't close up the coop and 1 got eaten. Feathers everywhere! It seemed like it happened right inside the coop. I used to get 4-6 eggs a day and now since the incident, I seem to only get 1 egg a day, with 5 chickens.
Are they traumatized? Poor little ones! Is there a way to get them laying again?
Would appreciate advise!

Yes, they are probably in a state of shock, give them time, they will restart laying. Your room mate needs a .38 for forgetting your birds......

If it's been more than a month I wouldn't think that is the reason. A lot of hens are molting and not laying right now, so that could be your reason. So sorry about the lost hen.

It was only a week ago. I will give them time, and never trust the roommate again!
Thanks!

I agree they are probably traumatized by the ordeal.
