Have people really been able to hatch store-bought eggs?

Here is little T.J., the only one to hatch from my dozen Trader Joe's eggs. He hatched late Tuesday night. The eggs were refrigerated, and were 3 weeks old when I bought them! He is almost 2 days old.

Thanks for all the info, everyone. I did read the thread about Joey the fertile egg science project from Trader Joe's. What an awesome story!

wow that is interesting. When I raised chickens i was always told you couldn't hatch refridgerated eggs. I am going to have to expirement if I ever get back into chickens. i always thought once they were cold that was it, and they were ruined for hatching.
