well the duck eggs are on day 23 - last time I candled them was a few days ago and I saw them moving in there, but it is getting harder to see anything in there LOL

I need to know what day do I stop turning? is it on Day 24? which means day 24 they will get turned but - not turned after that right?

also I have seen a few post where chicks have hatched a day early but have never seen where a duck has hatched early -- why is that? --

well I am crossing my fingers and hopeing I get 3 healthy babies !!

Quote:yes, stop turning around 24/25. Turning is, apparently, most critical in 1st trimester, important in 2nd, and less so in third.

That is anecdotal [IMG] but as turning for chickens stops halfway through the 3rd week anyway, it makes some sense.

You will normally expect to see less in the eggs as the chick grows. Sometimes, after internal pipping, you can see the beak in the airspace.

thank you I was wondering if anyone was going to be able to help me today with all this madness going on LOL

I candled the eggs afew days ago and I saw something move - maybe a foot but at this point who knows LOL

I am really ready to see these little ducklings I have been waiting what feels like forever - no matter what happens I plan on doing this again with some chicken eggs next ( some mutt eggs from my flock ).

can I saw I am on IBW yet? LOL
