Have 9 broad breasted bronzes that are 4 weeks old and have outgrown brooder. Do you think it is ok to put them in bigger pen in barn on pine shavings? They do have heat lamps water food a place to roost etc.

Depending on the over night temps you might be ok without heat lamps. Yes always keep food and water near by, and no you don't need to put up roosts yet becuase most of then syill won't be inclined too use then but the sooner the better

Soooooo Here's an update ....it has been exactly 1 week since I put the 9 poults on the ground and I am now down to 3 . I feel terrible.

What are they eatin? Do you have grit available at all times? How does their poop look? Medicated feed or no? Sometimes when birds go to their out of the brooder home coccidois can become more of an issue cause they are on the new ground, eatin things other than only feed and a lil stress from a new enviornment. Corrid is an easy water additive for that... if you are not givin medicated feed. Medicated feed covers this already. Did you decrease the heat to them until they no longer had it? Or simply stop it? Or leave it available for them? Where they are bein kept... have you looked for any stuff they may be pickin up that is not good for them? Chemicals on the lot where they are?

@memphis and @R2elk anything else to maybe help?
