Have you been watching the news?

Yes, so by now you're really over it.
I'm having so much fun.
:mad::tongue
Did I mention I had to throw a sheet of plastic over my run but being flat ain't good. So every1-2 hours I'm out there with brooms n stuff clearing snow off it.
Like I said, fun.
*Begins to sing "Oh no not I, I will survive..."* :plbb

Crossing fingers you don't get any more snow !
We didn't lose power in my area but others in MA did since last Friday.
Now we are getting 9-15 inches of snow (depending on where you are) :( And windy !

last time i lost power at this place was a rare 2011 Oct ice storm. 3 days, not too bad. We have gas hot water and stove so food was easy, even though I do have a grill if I needed. I actually had forgot about being able to take a hot shower ! duh :smack
But we heated Lobster pots full of water on the stove and placed them in the living room to heat up the room.

I feel your pain...
Hurricane Sandy killed all power for over 3 weeks by me.
After 2 days, everyone bailed on me and the house. :confused:
Fortunately I know enough about electric wiring not to be dangerous.
I had a small 3000 kw generator for the sump pump which was not needed.
I had plenty of time.
I pulled the main breaker and panel (off grid) and rewired everything...
I was able to power the whole house more or less, or the water pump.
Except for showering in the dark, life was good, almost a vacation... did I mention the future ex wife bailed :celebrate

Sitting in my car, charging my phone, enjoying some warmth, and eating a bowl of soup made from everything from my fridge and freezer. Heated it on the grill.
Life is good.
Now, JCP&L, please, fix the power for this neighborhood!
:hugs

We lost power during the summer (in Texas heat) for 2 weeks once (hurricane mess)
I about DIED!

I hope it's restored today!
I feel your pain.

I was just behind a convoy of about 15 MetEd utility trucks heading east on I-78...keeping fingers crossed they were heading to your neck of the woods to help with power restoration!!!

:rolleyes::rolleyes:
I'm in NJ about 8 miles from the Delaware Water Gap. Guess you n I are in the same boat.
We were just far enough east not to get much of anything. A few inches that pretty much melted by suppertime. I've kayaked from PA to Jersey via the Delaware River at that location. :)

I put my chicks in the grow-out pen today (with their heat plate). They are just under 6 weeks old. It’s 34 degrees out there and are they under the heat plate? Nope! They’re all sleeping together on the floor across the other side of the coop! I guess they’re content and warm then!
