So today I accidentally left the chickens in their coop in the morning.

I remembered to put feed and water out. I let out the ducks.

And....somehow I forgot the 2 chickens while worrying about the ducks.



Has this happened to anyone else?

They are fine and healthy still. And I still got eggs today also.

But I felt like a screw up briefly.

I've done it.....................I have 4 plus coops at times so I once forgot to open one of them

As long as there’s nothing harmful inside or can get inside the coop, it’s fine. Some chicken owners keep their chickens in their coop all day.

Another reason for an auto door.

My chickens would scream to be let out once they saw me out the window with the dogs, so they wouldn't let me forget anyhow.

I have let them out much later than usual......no worries they have feed and water in the coop.
