I think it depends on how you state your opinion. If you are rude in doing it, you are going to get the backlash for being rude. So...while i do agree with you mostly, because I have noticed this also...
I also say..you can disagree and still be polite to people... sometimes when people disagree with others they are just down-right rude about it. Know what i mean?
