I've met Tracy Hickman, who is a fantasy author (Dragonlance). He used to get food at the fast food joint I worked part time in college. Super chill dude, he came in about once a week and was always good for small talk. He knew I was a fan, but I didn't make a big deal out of it and I got the feeling he preferred it that way.

I also met Linus Torvalds once. It was a very brief interaction and I doubt he'd even remember it as it was 20 years ago and it was a drive-by kind of thing.

Other than that, I got an autograph from Ronald Reagan on a presidential fitness award, and I'm 3 degrees from Kevin Bacon.
