Have you ever...?

Yes, I have locked myself in my coop! Thankfully found a piece of wire that I made into a hook and dropped it through the hardware cloth on the door to unfasten the hook that somehow, prolly a one in a million chance, managed to swing around and fasten itself.

And while I have thankfully never encountered a squirrel or skunk, I went to lock up the rooster coop a week ago and a second before the door latched, had a sparrow come careening through the crack left in the doorway, hitting me in the side of the head with it's wing on the way by.

I was glad it wasn't bigger than a sparrow!
