Have you had a chicken that laid earlier than the others?

I am just curious, as I am anxiously awaiting our "first" egg! My chickens are 16 1/2 weeks old now. I can hardly stand the wait!!!!

I was figuring the ealiest I would get an egg was at 18 weeks. They started arriving at 15 weeks! I was a bit shocked to find an egg in the nest that early!

I am getting a breeding pair that already lays this Sat! and another pair that is 12 weeks. Silver phoenix. My other oldest chickies are about 8 or 9 weeks. Cant wait to find that first egg.
