Have you raised two male pups together?

Jax gets to meet a giiiiiiiiiiirl! This will be a revelation! And probably pretty funny, too. Hopefully the lady will be amenable to a big play session.

if you want 2 males, by all means!
You are absolutely socializing well and spend plenty of time with your dog (s)
You will have no problem getting this pair to bond.
There is a reason they call them bit*hes!
Now we are all excited for your new pup!

I know lots of people say that having a male/female combo is better, but we have been told by a couple trainers that a male/male combo often works out better. We have two boys and they do fine together. We had a female American Bulldog and she was definitely the dominant one in the relationship. They did well together also, but the two boys seem more relaxed together. Ours are both neutered and are about 6-8mos apart in age.

I talked to a couple of breeders last night, including the breeder that Jax came from. They all said, with GSDs, male/male pairings work better. It's something about the breed. Jax's sire and the breeder's other male are best buds.
Again we do socialize Jax heavily, he just hasn't met another dog yet.
This weekend we will be putting a deposit on the litter due in December, a mating between Jax's sire and his maternal aunt. We want another sable male, same as Jax. The darker the better.

In December, when the pups are born, we'll be traveling down to the breeders to pick our pup. I'm going to plan on leaving an article of worn clothing with the pup, so he'll start to learn us from an early age.

I'm told she's a very large GSD, so hopefully Jax won't hurt anything during their play session.

I seriously doubt Jax will hurt a thing. The big girl will probably set a few boundaries pretty quickly and then they will get along fine, as long as he repects her as queen of the universe!
