it was around 4.36 dollars a dozen . So I think I can get at lest 2.75 for a dozen around town . We have around 60 hens
Definitely agree but some of these big box stores are "suppose" to be cheaper and when I see a price like that from the it makes me cringe for some reason. Any other store or market it wouldn't phase me.The problem isn't what WalMart gets for their fancy eggs, but what they get for plain old egg eggs.
Sometimes, eggs sell for as little as 99 cents. That is an issue in the minds of many people who are driven by price alone. Plus, if an area gets glutted with people selling eggs, sometimes the local market just cannot bear much over $2. Local market conditions and your skill in networking and marketing will determine what you can charge.
