I've started my seeds but haven't yet planted them or turned the dirt yet. I plan to do that this weekend (fingers crossed!).

So far I have started:
Tomatoes (Heirloom Mix)
Cabbage
Lettuce
Corn(red, yellow, white sweet)
Bell Peppers (various colors)

I have a bunch more to start still..

Collards(for the chickens & ducks)
Beans(climbing & bush)
Sugar Peas
Melon
Lemon Cucumbers
Green Onions
Watermelon Radish (for fun)
Rainbow Carrots (these are SO yummy!)
Imperator Carrots
Acorn Squash
Butternut Squash
Delicata Squash

I also plan on having an area for flowers, so far just Mixed, Poppy & Columbine. My niece & newphew should really like that

I gave my mother some corn seeds a while back and she had Terrible luck with them, So when i planted mine i just used all 3 packets in a big dishpan with plastic over it...all the while thinking i'd also have bad luck....

WELL, this is what popped up about 8 days later!!!!

Hopefully it'll be nice sunday and we'll get it all turned. It's a pretty big area so it's going to take a little while.

You're pretty brave! Here on the coast of far N Ca. we've been having occasional hailstorms and hard frost! I'm going to force myself to wait till May

I am doing a 300ftx 60 ft garden this year and having to till the whole thing by hand with an ancient tiller... Yay fun.. LOL

LOL, that's gonna be a big job!

I'm not sure exactly how big my area is going to be yet, but thankfully a family member has a big rototiller he's letting us use. it was that or ask the neighbors to do it with their tractor, lol.

thebritt,
I think it's finally stopped freezing over here. a few weeks ago we got a couple freezing nights but that was it, no hail or snow or anything anymore.. (

Not yet.
i can hardly wait. Maybe in another week or so.
Still too much of a chance of snow. Know a lady west of us in the mountains got over 6" of snow just a couple days ago.
I have killed tomatos starting them too early, not going to take the chance this year.

Hubby has got to get in my big garden with a tractor and a blade and pull some dirt back up into it. The dirt has worked it's way downhill and is pushing our fence over. Have to put in 6 new posts anyway.

Garlic! I knew i forgot something! We have a small area that grows Elephant Garlic but I want a bigger area for it. I love garlic

I plan on having a great big potato mound with all kinds in it. We had one as a kid growing up and i used to love digging out potatoes from that huge pile of dirt.

We also have Grapes, not sure what kind but I am going to try to nurse them back this year. they were about 100' from end to end when we moved in but the cows got to them.

We're tilling our bed and planting our vegetable seeds this Sunday, weather permitting! I also just planted some flower seeds yesterday.
