Having trouble regulating temperature and humidity in incubator

Mine are doing okay. All five that are on lock done been wiggling and moving around. Some have some cracks showing up. Hopefully will have five healthy babies soon. All the others waiting are doing good. Just candled them and the all got good movement going on and growing.

Looks like there is alot of humidity in the box. Have you put another humidity meter in the incubator to compare them?

It always gets like that when I put some water inside but the condensation does go after a few minutes, I don't have another humidity meter as this is my first ever hatch and I don't have any past experience, I think it'd be a good idea to have more than one in future hatches to compare though

It sure would. Did the instructions tell you to put water in the whole bottom----the reason I ask is I have a big incubator and I use a pan of water about 6 x 10". I feel your humidity is way higher than it is showing.

The instructions didn't say anything about where to put the water as it was only the lod that I bought, I did start off using a pan of water but it just wasn't reading above 30% so I decides to increase the surface area. Hopefully everything will be fine but if not I'll learn to have another humidity reader next time, thank you very much for your help!

WalMarts has some-----not sure how accurate they are but they seem to be close with a couple better ones I have.

I will post pics when they start hatching......hopefully soon......I can't wait to see them. Momma is a Pekin and Daddy is a Cayuga....so I am sure we going to have some piebald colored ones.

On a sad note....we did loose the 6 little chicken eggs....they were pretty small eggs compared to most chicken eggs I've seen...but momma chick is small compared to most hens.
