All survived the attack by hiding but one was attached first before hiding under a tarp. Originally she was only missing a few feathers on her back but a week later she has lost many more feathers and you can see scabs. She is acting fine just worried because she is continuing to lose feathers. She looks like she is molting. Could the trauma cause her to molt or is she losing more feathers from the original injuries. Should I do anything?

If she's acting fine, she's likely fine.

What is your location on Planet Earth? Top half or lower half?

How old is this hen?

How long ago was the attack?

Any stressful event can trigger molt. But she may have been getting ready to molt anyway.

We live in Virginia and have been covered in snow since the attack a week ago. The run is covered. She is a little over a year. My instincts say she is fine but I’m new at this so . . .
