Hawk attack - no tail feathers when will the re-grow?

My golden polish chicken "Cher" barely escaped a hawk...but she no tail feathers now. How long will these take to re-grow? otherwise she seems normal. thanks

How old is she? She should regrow them here some time in the fall.

she is a little over a year old..... the hawk ripped her side bare and a claw must have gone into her vent, because it was torn also.

Poor girl. I'm glad she got away. I've seen chickens heal up from stuff I never thought they would.

She may not regrow the feathers until she goes through her annual molt. Sometimes they regrow lost feathers first, than they molt.

Tail feathers can take awhile to come in. Make sure she's eating a higher protein ration, or you are feeding some protein based treats to help her make those feathers when she starts to molt.
