Hawk Attack!

Yes deer netting that you drape over shrubs to prevent them from eating.

There was a post on here a few months ago where someond described how a hawk tried to take a hen right out of their lap. I've had one swoop down behind my head twice to try to get one of my pullets. Both times, he flew back up to the housetop and turned around and watched me. I was able to yell and he flew away.

I will say that we have a flock of crows that does a very good job keeping the hawk at bay. Anytime you hear a lot of "cawing," you can look up to find them harassing the hawk.

Good luck.

Wolfpacker, they do that here too. I think it's neat to be outside with the chicks and hear the crows giving the hawks a fit. Good crows

We had a hawk get 1 of our girls a month or so ago. We wasted no time in covering their run. For a few days I saw the hawks fly around then they must have realized no more free meals, because its been awhile since I have seen them!
