Anyone know a way to keep hawks away? I just put 50 3-month old chickens in my large, uncovered area with my 30+ full sized chickens. (The big ones have been in the open area for over a year, no problem.) Late afternoon I heard the chickens going off, I ran down with my pellet gun & there were 3 hawks on a chick, but the hawks were getting attacked by the crows that live in the trees around the chicken area. I'm thankful for the crows, but I don't want to rely on them if the hawks come back. I'm guessing I need some kind of bigger movement as they stayed away when I was out side working, they came in after I'd been in the house about 30 minutes. Thanks!

I have had really good luck with one of those plastic owls that has the moveable head. I have it on a fence post and I change the location every month or so. I have also had no problems with fox, coons or otherwise. When the wind blows the head moves and bobs. Money well spent for me!
