Hawk ID - Louisiana

Um, how did you get a hawk in a pouch?

I am aware. This is from yesterday, he got trapped in the coop. Released with no injuries, besides his bruised ego from being chased by a 2 pound broody hen

Um, how did you get a hawk in a pouch?

It's a little pillow case I had to wrap him in to safely remove him from the coop. One of his toes got stuck on the wire

I believe that is a young red shouldered hawk.
