Hawk stalk.. ideas for deterrent

Originally I didn't have quite enough netting so I bought some online but it wasn't what I thought it was but put it up anyway. I thought it would still be a deterrent to aerial predators. Wrong. An owl went through the crappy netting and killed some birds three times. Each time I put a new piece of the crappy netting and the owl would go through it. I move the birds to another coop and put a camera up in the pen. The owl went through the netting again. I had ordered some good netting and replaced the crappy netting. The owl tried again but this time got caught in the netting. We managed to get it out into a cage and a wildlife rescue came and got it.

I had a Red Tail hawk hanging around. One day I had a Dr. appt. and some errands to do so I was away for quite awhile. When I got home the birds were really fussing, unusual. I went out to the coops and saw several bodies and then saw the hawk. Apparently it went on a killing spree. My pens are 60' deep. The original netting was 50' so I put the crappy netting up to cover the 10'. I had used zip ties to hold the pieces together. The zip ties had deteriorated and came off and left a gap which is most likely where the hawk got in. Here are a few of the bodies I got out. I did get the hawk out and replaced that netting with some good netting. I have seen some hawks but no more losses. Sorry for the blurry.

They were not far from starting to lay.

We also have owls.. i heard one the other night, actually the same day i posted this. I keep them in their coop at night which is secured with a covered/secured run but I let them out in the morning until dusk. Sounds like I'll be finding some good netting. Thanks for all the advice and pictures! Looks like you've got it together ❤
