We were blessed with a chick that hatched shortly before Easter, who is mixed with a Golden Polish. We expected it to end up taking after the Polish dad due to its coloring as a baby, but I wanted to share some photos of the growth of this chick because it has come to be an adorable little mixed chick.

"Chicken Hawk" - named for the little mohawk it had as a baby, has come to develop what we just call a "pompadour" now. The first photos are the two roosters we have, and the hen the egg was from. I am keeping this partially for personal note-taking and comparing photos. I will add more as Hawk grows!

Chicken Hawk today! Though her mom and dad aren't small, she has remained nearly bantam sized. Hawk is extremely friendly, well-mannered, and still flys to your arm with a simple cue she was taught when she was young.

@N F C - Yes, she started laying late September actually! She lays a bantam-sized light brown egg- smaller than her mom's! I will attach a photo! Like I wrote on the little sticky note, the first three eggs are the first three she laid in order.
