Tips & tricks on dealing with hawks?
my flock is totally free range in the yard all day. The run is kept open & half of the run is covered (Ref picture).

Spotted a hawk watching my flock from a nearby tree. My Roo spotted him just after i did, puffed up at him, & the hawk flew away.
i put all the chooks in the run for the remainder of the evening so they had a little more cover.

any tips? Orange net won’t work for them when they’re in the yard?

I strung high test fishing wire from tree to fence all across the top of my yard - it looked like a giant spider web but worked great!

This area is lacking some shrubs arranged in groups so the chicken can do bush diving and stay safe. That Ligustrum is not enough. If you choose sagely they could even provide some extra treats for the chicken and attract insects that baby chicken will love to chase.
