I'm super paranoid about preds and I feel sort of stupid when I tell my kids watch the ducks like a hawk. Hawks sometimes stalk their victims for a few days finding the right moment to swoop in so a change in routine can throw them off track for a bit. Juvenile hawks are really ambitious with their stalking they will go after things an adult might not fool with so a house/shelter is a must.
