Hawks Circling

I've got my small run covered with wire and my large run covered with deer netting with cd's hung like ozark hen and yes it really does work.

If you have a covered run, you won't have any problems. The hawks may even sit on top of it, but with 1/2" hardware cloth, you don't have to worry.

I had my 8-week-old chicks out freeranging for awhile today, under supervision, and a red-tail hawk cruised overhead. We have a lot of tree coverage that really helps, but I brought them in anyway. They probably looked like a bunch of little appetizers running around.
