Hawks in the city!

The Mockingbirds fascinate me. They nest in two trees in the front yard but the males will spend the nights in trees out in the back and sing all night long. Has anyone else seen this? Could it be a decoy against predators?

I dunno why they do that, but yep they do it all over the country.

The only chicken breeds that can handle predators are shamos malays thai's aseels and cornish. All these do wonderful free range unless you have large dogs coyotes or babcats in the vicinity.
