Hawks :(

Found this hawk alive and hanging upside down in our run. It attacked one of my girls but she's going to be okay.. Now I'm only letting the ladies out when someone's keeping an eye on them.

Was the hawk dead hanging like that? very pretty bird. How did it get in? looks like your run has a top on it

Wow I see now it was alive. I don't think I could kill one they are beautiful birds.

How did it get in? It looks like your run is covered

I have a fenced in ( but not covered) 'free ranging area' around the coop and run (makes me feel better about neighborhood dogs, etc) and I've been letting the girls out during the day. The hawk attacked my hen outside of the coop and run, then followed her as she went in to get away. The hawk didn't follow her all the way into the coop. It seemed to have gotten turned upside down once inside.
