hay ok?

is it ok for my chickens to be eating hay? they like eat long stans and i am woried thy mite choke on it!

I'd be careful, I don't get hay anymore for my chickens. My chickens constantly got impacted crops, now I only use straw.

I have heard that chopped hay is supposed to be good for them.
I take some and put it in my magic bullet blender and give it to Carmilla, she digs it! I have never given Alfalfa, but since it is high in calcium I would think its be especially good for laying hens. I feed mine Timothy hay.
