My skin flared from hay, is that normal?

That has never happened to me. I usually wear gloves when I handle hay though.

I always do when I work around my livestock. Just for sanitation. Or I wash my hands well afterward.

I guess because I only have two chicks, I don't really use gloves lol. They're like my dogs

The hay made me very very sick. To the point of having to get benedrly and my eyes swelling

You appear to be very allergic to hay. Welcome to the club! I really can't be around it or handle it, or I'll get quite ill-eyes swelling and itching, runny nose, sneezing, difficulty breathing, it's bad. My son has a guinea pig, and although I can give the pig greens or kibble, I can't manage the hay. Your best bet is to avoid hay as much as possible, or take some allergy meds before you have to deal with it. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice. You and I are in the same boat. My boyfriend and mom said they would take care of the hay!
