Hazelnuts safe for chickens?

We have several untreated hazelnuts trees, so most of the nuts have worms. I was cracking the shells to feed the worms and they were also eating the nuts. Is that safe for chickens? Thanks!

Nuts are good treats for chickens.

I only feed nonrancid nuts to my chickens. The oils change when they spoil. It sounds like your nuts are not rancid. Good treat!
