He came back to the farm but what is he?

I can't help you with what he is...except he sure is beautiful!

I was orginally given this beautiful rooster when I took a friend's flock over. She was getting out of birds and had a nice asst. of birds including him. But last winter I had to rehome him and the few hens we had left due to a predator issue. The neighbor who had him since then was going to get rid of him and I could not let him go to the sale barn. So he is home!!! I have learned so much here on this forum that my mind spins. I am so gratefull to all of you from the ones to ask the questions to the ones who have the answers. I know he is a rooster but what breed? I am thinking cochin but not sure. He is about 14 inches tall!

He is a Blue Cochin Bantam. If you crossed him with a barred female, you'd get sex-linked chicks: 25% solid blue females,25% solid black females. 25% barred blue males, 25% barred black males.

thank you again. That does help, Pele! Not sure which direction to go with him yet, but I knew I could not let him go to the sale barn. He is so docile it is not funny. He is like a little fuzzy soft puppy. LOL.
