My 4 mouth old silkie baby boy was out and about earlier today but tonight a square tub was upside down and he was trapped under and could not get out. He was very wet from trying to get out. As soon as he was out he went and got a little water and some food then a little bit more water. He is dry now and with his friend under the heat lamp. I sure hope he is going to be OK.
I sold the other splash boys so this is the only one I have. He must have jumped on the edge and it flipped over on top of him. Man what a close call. I just came back from checking on him again, he seems OK. He came over to me and let me pet him.
I read all this things that can happen to them and it just scares me. Had to vent.

Glad he survived his ordeal. I think they're nearly as bad as toddlers with the stuff they get themselves into.

He looks real good today. So fluffy almost like a girl. No sneezing or any think.

He was picking on my favorite boy so I had to put him back in the other pen. No big deal, boys will be boys.

I've had that happen before. It must be a silkie thing. I let mine out last year when they were still youngins and when I put them back up, I noticed one was missing. I looked and looked and finally decided that he must be hiding or that something got him. THREE days later as I was feeding up, I heard this panicked, very loud chirping and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. As I walked closer to the barn, the chirping got louder. I kicked over a bucket and there he was! He made some happy chirps and was just fine. Silly boy.
