I was sooo confident these 2 were girls when growing as they walked with lower postures and kept themselves out of the fights but now im not too sure 😅
The tail has got me questioning on the one and the crest and tail on the other.
Please help me out.
I know its difficult to truly say at this age but it would be nice to know what the majority think so I know what to look for in future growers.
😊

I think pullets, @Debbie292d what do you think?
I agree, except look closer at this one. It looks to me like hackles coming in. Those are narrower, longer feathers that come in a cockerel's neck when they're at least a few months old usually.

Oh hackling hell 😅. Is that a definitive answer or is there still hope 🙈
How old are they? My guess is around 8-10 weeks? Generally, it's four months before we can know definitively, so there's ALWAYS hope! :)

11 weeks old.
Someone said to me that they think the black is a boy because of the Florence colour im the feathers is there any truth to that?
Yes, most black roosters will have fluorescent feathers, like lime green and purple.

I have a satin black silkie hen with fluorescent feathers too.
