Lol..I know I CAN keep more than one roo, but I like my birds to serve a purpose. I can't justify feeding a roo just because he is purdy..

My birds have to work for their food.

How old is the chick? If it is young with the red comb and wattles I would say Roo. Pullets do not turn red until closer to time to lay.

It is only 3 1/2 months. It does have tiny little spurs.

I think he's gorgeous and yes, I think he's a roo. Welcome to MY world. I got 13 chicks and 6 were roos. I've decided to keep them all and set them up with their own group of females.

Your Doodle Doo looks a lot like my Donique Roo, Frnaklin Deleno Roostervelt. I call him Frank for short. He's beautiful! As for your othr roo, Why not set him up with some feamles of his own? Then he can "serve a purpose" as well as look purdy. Plus it will give you an excuse to expand!
