Head Clearance Questions

I like the number 24" when dealing with levels inside coops it will accommodate waters and feeder to put them at back level of your birds with little waste and allow them easy access from level to level.
My roost are in cups 3½ inches from poop board that is my best addition to my coop and I highly recommend it.
Your plan seems to have a different use and perspective of that space to fit your particular needs.

Do you mean 24" from level to level or 24" clearance? I was shooting for 24" from the floor surface to the poop board surface, but that would make the clearance under the "rafters" around 16 1/2" and the clearance between the rafters at about 20".
I am planning on putting my roost in cups to make it removable, but I hadn't considered putting it that close to the poop board. I was planning on allowing for about 8" clearance between the PDZ and the underside of the poop board so that I could easily reach across the entire board without knocking into the roost. I'm rather short, so if I had to reach up and over the roost to clear the opposite side I would have to lower the entire thing.

I'm 5'10" x 200 lbs with a beer belly, so I don't get down on my hands & knees to crawl under a coop to catch chicks and retrieve stray eggs and feeders & waterers that the chickens knock over and kick to the back. Bending over to service the coop is hard on my old back too so I like things about waist-chest height.
Most feeders, waterers & nestboxes are 12"-18" tall so 18" would be my minimum.
With that in mind 24" for A and 18" for B would work for me if I had to meet the 42" C requirement.
As far as the chickens's head clearance above the roost, mine have 1 ft between the perch & roof but that is kinda tight because I hear them bumping their heads and flapping their wings against the tin roof at night. When I remodel I'm going with 2 ft.
Remember bigger is better...

24" from the floor surface to the underside poop board surface,
That being said I would not go below 18" for that dimension.

As far as poop boards I did little to no reach on the subject and it was first brought to my attention on this site.

You seem to have made informed decisions.

My good judgment comes from bad judgment in most cases.

I just hope you are as happy with your boards as I am with mine.
