Head curled all the way down to one side, lethargic

Our one year old hen (Araucana) is displaying strange symptoms. She has been lethargic for two days, then this morning, she had her head all curled down to one side and is rocking back and forth a bit. We observed some goo in her beak yesterday. No abnormal feces. Shared a coop with one other bird for last year, eats pellet layer feed.


Any idea what this could be? Is there any sense in taking a chicken to a vet? (I'm guessing the price of one visit would buy three or four more chickens.)

Any suggestions?

could be crookneck.. have seen posts a lot on this syndrome. think it is a vitamin defincency.
