Here's June Bug, she's been not roosting w/ the rest of the girls for about a week now. I noticed that she does seem a bit more ruffled than the rest of the girls. as you can see, there is molting going on, but I don't find any BO feathers among the feathers on the floor. She is not laying right now, I think she and many of her coop mates are taking the winter off & only 2 hens are currently laying. I did pick her up today & you can feel her breast bone, but she still is on the meaty-ish side, so shes not skin & bones. When she was in my hands, I did notice her kinda gasping??? She has been seen eating & she comes out into the run w/ the rest of the girls, tho this am, she didn;t seem interested in the scratch & BOSS that I threw out. I just went out to check on her before the lights go out & shes still perched on the lip to the shaving catch of the pop door. on very close observation, I can see her breathing w/ her mouth open (barely open) Could it be gape worm??? I have Ivermectin pour on & wazine & they were all de-wormed in late August. SHe was also observed shaking her head alot tonight when she came into the coop.
Please help me figure out whats wrong w/ my sweet girl.
Just watched the youtube videos for gape worm & she is not doing that to that extent
