I had posted a few times about my silkie that started shaking it's head. I was concerned about it being a neurologic problem as well as others posting the same question.
However, I had noticed that the head shaking started when the feathers on the side of the face under the comb in front of the eyes got long obstructing the poor guys vision.
A couple weeks ago, I wrapped him in a towel and trimmed the feathers so he could see better and guess what? The head shaking slowed and has now stopped so it was due to the feathers.
Pic taken tonight 3 months old. The feathers are starting to get a little long again, so I'll trim again.
