head shaking

Welcome to BYC I went through the head shaking with my chicks and they were fine. I really don't know what it was, but alot of chicks do it. At the time it happened, their feathers were growing in on their head, so maybe they were a bit itchy.

Thankyou everyone for your warm welcome. Since my last post the chicks have stopped shaking their heads. guess i will
never know why they did it, but i'm glad they have stopped.

The above is really why BYC is so awesome, folks around here may not know answer, and sometimes that is comforting, if everyone's chicks didthe head shaking right before something bad happened, they would tell you. So for reassurance this place is invaluable, add the great instruction for other stuff, friendships and like minded craziness for chickens, and it gets even better!
