Head shaking?

Mine did.  Sometimes they would race across the brooder, screech to a halt, get up on tiptoes, flap little flipper-wings, and poop.

Exactly whys they are doing. Especially if I make a loud noise, they get very excited and run around and stretch and flap their baby wings and wiggle their tails. Sister-in-law is a vet technician, she said she could get the duck in tomorrow to get the stool tested for parasites. Thank you!

Sweet, thanks SIL!

And if they can check for bacteria, that would be nice, too. Well, I will trust that you will get some good help.

Ducklings are not susceptible to as many problems as other birds, but things can happen. They also can have internal troubles that become apparent as they get older. Hope it's very minor.

Smelled Pekin's (Toaster's) stool today, smelled like metal, blood. I'm extremely worried. What kind of diseases does this link to??? He/she is still acting just like a duck... He ate a grasshopper earlier..

Did you get a vet appointment? Hardware disease can be a problem, some bacterial infections can cause this from what I have read here.
Trying to get one set up. Hard, very busy week. Should I take the duckling outside while I'm trying to figure this out? Separate him from the other duck???

I cannot see the little so it's hard to say anything but his or her safety is important, and the stress of separation won't help. If none of the others are showing symptoms I would lean toward it being non communicable. For now I would watch and maybe make notes for the vet
