Heads up on animal meds from the Vet.

I haven't read all of the responses, so this may have been covered, but do you know what he is allergic to? Taking my allergic dog off of over-the-counter food has helped tremendously. Read "Food Pets Die For" by Ann Martin.

As far as I know, our nearest vet charges $10.00 to give you a prescription -- I don't mean the drugs, just the prescription -- if you want to order drugs on line.

BTW, I think rabies vaccinations may have the largest profit margin of all.

Also please be careful where you buy, online pet drugs can come from china or anywhere, and you have no way of knowing this. My vet warned me that it might not even be the real meds!!
I would rather buy from the vet, and I bet most would price match, thanks for the heads up, I would have never thought to ask!

MSBear, I see.

My dog is on venison and sweet potato, a canned prescription diet. It is incredibly expensive, so I am supplementing with my own venison and some plain yogurt, and he has even less symptoms. One doctor told me his problems were because of vaccinations, but that's a whole other subject.

Oh yeah...It is another subject because I could go on and on and on.... but I'll contain myself to just saying the experiences we have gone through with Luci have enlightened us to all the toxins we are exposed to everyday with chemicals ingested, absorbed, inhaled, and...yes, injected

There are consequences to this and it manifests itself in the form of allergies, learning disorders and a whole array of things we don't understand yet.

Our son is two and has never had any vaccinations. I'll probably do it before school (not because anyone is forcing us -vaccinations are not mandatory and you can "opt out" for religious or medical reasons) We might selectively vaccinate or not at all....I just knew when he was a tiny baby ...and still is...that his body may not be able to handle that amount of neurotoxins. Kids now adays don't eat veggies (mine does...for now:) and they are natural antioxidants. Without veggies and water to help flush out toxins, they accumulate and cause serious problems.

I travel over an hour for my vet. Have 3 different vet offices around here and wouldn't even use them in an emergancy. The vet I go to is over 75% lower in price and he is a way better vet. He got a partner in there that I wouldn't spit of if she was on fire, I just wait for him.

I love my vet but he don't over charge on anything.

KellyHM hope you did great on your test.
