I frequently hear people mention that things like Purelle also kill the good bacteria on your skin.

In all my vast (I got bored very quickly of finding nothing) internet searching, I could not find any. Not one.

Can anyone name a single bacteria, found on your skin, that is beneficial?

I am not counting bacteria that don't kill you. I mean ones that actually do something positive that Purelle does not do....

E. Coli is very beneficial, as long as it stays in your intestines.

I found one bacteria that is alleged to reduce the inflammation around injury sites. But that does not mean it is helping you. It is helping itself to keep you from noticing it and launching a counter attack. It eats you for longer, before your body recognizes it. Not a benefit.

Anyone? Name that bacteria and what it does.
