I've noticed with my adult chickens their poop comes in many many different shades, colors, consistencies, and smells. I'm new to chicks too, and with this round I've noticed that although the chicks poop is not as varied as the adult poop, it still has some differences. Today I had my 3 weeker on my shoulder and he pooped this ugly, smelly, clayish yellowish poop on my shoulder. I think a lot of it depends on what they eat. I gave him some apple for a treat. It's pretty gross, but I think pretty normal.
