I love my chickens, there my world. I only got 7. 6 girls and 1 rooster. Now I would absolutely Love to get more if I had the room. Only because when they were CHICKS they were so cute and adorable and to die for. But what I didnt place is that there like us, they go through teenage years. Mine got attitude here and there. One day they wanna cuddle and the next there using me to do backflips. just a little rant that I've wondered if anybody else goes through. Pretty much you want more but cant bt then reber they grow up to be little toddlers. But hey, we love them.❤

But EVENTUALLY, some of them grow out of that. For example, my Speckled Sussex is by my side "helping" me with any and all outdoor projects. If Bronwyn was any closer sometimes, she would have to figure out how to get under my skin.

Also, even the toddlers will pretend to like me if I offer enough fresh grapes!

Baby chicks are sooooooo addictive. They are so fun to watch as they navigate through their day.

I don't really have the problem of not being able to get more but I hear you on the teenage phase. You could always hatch chicks, play with them for a week, and then sell them.

They will (hopefully) grow out of it!

I raised a couple of Polish roos from chicks.
At about 5 months they turned into total idiots, attacking the hens, shouting at me etc.
They were in a bachelor pad for a couple months, now they are responsible boys, titbitting, escorting the hens to safely, tame around me.

I know this is probably quite exceptional considering all the roos that get MORE aggressive the older they get. but they are my boys and I love them.

Thank you all for your replies. I have 2 plymouths, 1 BO, 1 Australorp, 1 starlight green egger, 1 silkue, and then my swedish rooster. There my babies. My rooster loves to cuddle. He was aggreisve and I couldnt even touch him without him getting mad. But hes tamed enough that he loves to cuddle and interact with me. Just a little background. I want to get more silkie bc baby girl is the only one but we have no room right now. But it was nice to hear your all stories
