Hear loud peeping from the incubator, but cannot see any pips.
Is that normal?
Day 22, California Quail, incubation period 22-23 days.
Humidity set to 71% according to the Little Giant built in humidity sensor.
Is that a good humidity setting?
Thanks

A peep without any visible pip usually indicates that the chick has made an internal pip and is breathing air in the air cell. The external pip follows, after the chick rests up for a while. It's normal!

I have successfully hatched with humidity at that level during lockdown. I think 65% is a more common humidity level, but I like it at 70%+, so I don't have a problem if I need to open the incubator to take a chick out or check an egg.

Good luck with your hatch! I am sure others will give you input, as well.
