I was thinking about getting some meat birds this year. My uncle had chickens 30+ yrs ago, & he said a good meat bird is the Peterson chicken. It was a cross between 2 breeds that I'm not sure what, but it wasn't a cornish cross. Has anyone ever heard of this breed?

I remember them. They were developed by Peterson Farms. A couple years ago they sold out the broiler operation to some big conglomerate. Not sure if they are available any more to the general public.
