Hey, hope you're all staying cool! Well, as cool as possible this summer.
Today our little flock turned their noses up at their chow. For the past few months we've been doing the fermented feed with ACV thing and the gang has been LOVING IT!!
Today they don't want it.
We try and not mix up much more than a day and a half's worth since it's been so hot I didn't want it to get tooooo fermented but they're having none of it. Tried just throwing out some dry crumble but...no.
Had to substitute wheat bran mixed with alfalfa flakes and some corn tortillas to get by. We also hose the pen down a couple of times a day to help cool them off but they just don't seem too happy.
Do chickens just not wanna eat when it gets so hot for so long? I know WE sure don't feel like eating much either!
