Hatching
Hello
I am new to the forum and I am looking into purchasing a few quail for dog training purposes. As I determine design of my coop I am concerned about how much heat these birds (bob whites) can stand. Mt coop would face east and be up against a building. In southern NM it is hitting 100 degrees and I am concerned about heat build up. I am planning on 1/2” hardware cloth for the floor and sides and a solid top. I wanted to enclose a section but I am concerned about air flow. I am designing it so that during the winter I can close it up some to ensure enough heat is there but I am concerned for the summers. All opinions and experiences are appreciated.
Thanks
Greg
