Heat index of 110 tmorrow! Tips?

I have set up an outside fan in the run last time it was in the 90's. Any other ways to keep the girls cool. It is also supposed to be very humid as well. Our coop is part insulated and stays cooler than outside. I have a water bottle in the freezer, should I place it on the ground where they like to lay? maybe blow the fan over the bottle or over some ice water?

We are going to have heat index of 105 tomorrow and 107 Friday which is VERY hot for us. Today I put up tarps for shade all over the run and put an exhaust fan in one of the windows, I also took some old milk jugs filled with water and put them in the freezer, and have grapes in the fridge for a cool treat. I hope everybody does ok, I have all heavies with the exception of 6 EE's and 2 banty cochins.

thanks! our run is half shaded almost all day so they have shade. I think I will freeze some more bottles of water. I will be home most of the day so I can keep an eye on them. They did alright when we had a couple of 90 degree days, some were panting, thats when I turned on a fan for them, it seemed to help.

Will be 112 here today 114 yesterday not sure what the heat index would be, just hotter.... Our birds have lots of shade, a fan in the hen house, and lots of water. Water gets very warm in a few hours after noon so we change it out with cooler water a couple times. They do fine other than laying hard boiled eggs

and panting like a dog in the hottest part of the day, but it is their natural way of cooling

Ours are turned out to range so they largely stay right around our back yard where it's shadiest. When I get home from work, I turn on the sprinkler and they run through it like little kids. If it's really going to be a scorcher, we leave the sprinkler on all day. (We are on water well, so no water bill)
